Afternoon Folks, having bit of a dilemma. Bought these before Xmas to fit into my 2004 Disco & just realised the lifetime not great on these. Now I want something that has a longer lifetime and gives good light. Reason for this is cause I have light guards and I would have to keep removing them to replace bulbs.

Not wanting to go down the LED route. Anyone have any suggestions on what brand to go for the H7 or have any links.

Also the indicator bulb is that normally clear and do the pins sit parallel ?

I use those lamps, and agree, their lifetime is quite limited, but they do give a good amount of light output.

Hi, what i know is that the higher that + ...% thing is the less they last which i observed on my wife's Hyundai... i have H4 Philips brand on my D2 but it was so long ago that i forgot the exact modell(might be +120%) , i can only estimate but it's been certainly more than five years since i fitted them

The trade off is better light output for shorter life, all brands will be similar.

I've had a pair of those Nightbreaker Laser +150% for 3.5 years, and a pair of the Nightbreaker Ultimate +200% for 2.5 years without issue though, so it's not like the life of them is particularly terrible.

Just buy the normal bulbs that has none of this +% crud on them.
I don't know where OP is from, but the problem is that in some countries additional lights can be illegal, like the spots and LED bar in my profile picture. When you have to rely only on the Discovery headlights, I guess those expensive bulbs can make a difference. Especially with the facelift lights as they are even dimmer in my experience. Nowadays new cars have really bright lights, so I can barely see where I'm going with my D1 that has standard bulbs and no additional lights!

I use Philips Racing Vision GT200, which are slightly brighter than the Night Breaker + 150, but seem to last about twice as long. My current set have been in for over 12 months. Night Breakers last me about 6 months before failing, so the Philips are definitely longer lasting.

Perhaps you can also review Lucas Black Edition as they are advertised at 180% 😃

My disco has them fitted and now the headlamp lamp guards form a shadow on the road, buts thats it just test, as I don’t drive it in the dark, now hardly drive in daylight either 😃

I've not tested them, so have no knowledge of how they perform.
I've used Night Breakers in various guises for about a decade. But for the last couple of years I switched over to the Philips GT200, finding them slightly brighter and much longer lasting than the Night Breakers.
