Morning all, in the past few days I have noticed my temp gauge needle randomly jumping around. Most of the time it is stable at the half way point but every now and then it will jump up for a second before returning to normal. Occasionally it jumps right to the top of the range and when this happens the landy becomes very hesitant, lacking power.
So is the thermostat knackered, sending spurious readings to the gauge and ECU?
If the ECU thinks the engine is overheating does it go into limp-mode or do I have something else going on here?
I regularly clean the oil from the injector loom with contact cleaner so hopefully not that!
