Help and advice please.
My Heated Rear Screen has stopped Heating. The Switch Works? at least it shines Red but the Elements do not Heat up.
Any ideas please.
cheers

The connector comes off the glass which is pretty common. I've soldered them back on, but it not easy as the glass sucks loads of heat out of the soldering iron.
Here's one I repaired.

Hi Nodge,
Thanks for the Photo and Info. I took the tailgate trim panel off late yesterday and I found like in your photo 2 heavy duty cables Black and Brown in a corrugated shroud like in your photo lying in the bottom of door. Should these be plugged in somewhere? I really don"t want to unbolt the door handle but I will if I have to.
cheers mate

They should be attached to the glass as above. Probs easier to get new glass and plug them on. Might have blown fuse if in door loose. No need to take door handle off !!!

Hi Nodge,
Tried Soldering the wires to the Brown things attached to window but soldering Iron old and not good enough and the 2 Brown things fell off. awahat do I do now. PLEASE.

I think this post rather answers what you have asked....

It was the brown things that needed to be soldered on. The wires are a lucas spade push fit. Sounds like time for a new screen !!
