hi all, I brought my freelander a few years ago and it had the propshaft completely removed, I'm thinking of getting one and having it refitted just wondering if it's worth the cost as I'm not sure if not having one fitted for a few years and then fitting a new one will cause any problems.

Some people swear that it give more MPG - I don't know..... some complain that they can't hold the front end... again I don't know.... should you run mondo or 4x4??? I would say why run a car in a mode if isn't designed to do.

thanks the link is fine, just wondering since it has not had one fitted for at least 2 yrs would there be any problems to refitting one?

The answer isn't much use to you I'm afraid, but. ... depends?
Why was it removed in the first place?
Was the IRD goosed on the output?
Did the differential suffer damage because of the VCU?
You might fit it all and be ok... you might fit it and the rear diff bushes are the only reason it was removed....
Only one way to find out I'm afraid.....
