Not normal at all....the TD6 is more than torquey enough to pull away from cold....

The problem you describe is a common issue and there is a problem with the box....I hate to point you to another forum, but search both fullfatrr.com and rangerovers.net for posts by a guy called RRPhil (he is known as Bemble on here) as this has been discussed numerous times....

I think I may take to Land Rover to check it out. Cheers for quick responce
As I said earlier, chuck it back and get a refund, the longer you leave it the harder it will be. Sale of goods act, not of merchantable quality.
If you take it to LR, ask for a written report you can use for back up.

As Data said, never heard that line before about gearbox pressure. I had a 2002 TD6 which went like Sh!t off a shovel from ignition, even before getting warm. It is definitely NOT underpowered! Seems like some Class A BS from the dealer! Bremble may be able to shed some light on that pressure situation, but yours deffo ain't normal! it does sound like the TC. sorry!
