I"ve had this car for 4 years and the rear offside door has locked and unlocked on the button every time, then one day last week it wouldn"t. Will WD40 liberally sprayed all over the mechanism work or will it mean a new part? Any idea of the aprt number?

Hi Madmustang,
I did that and couldn"t see anything out of the ordinary. No broken wires, no loose fittings. The doors lock on the key Fob but don"t reopen on the Fob.
I did spray WD40 over the moving parts but nothing changed.

It needs a new lock assembly. It's best to change it now, before it deadlocks, preventing the door from opening.
