Hi all,
My 2003 4.4 V8 petrol (BMW M62) has a serious problem with coolant leaking from the BRC Genius condenser unit. It is of the old black type.
I split it apart to replace the gaskets which were very fubarred and the aluminium body was corroded and a bit crumbly.
I cleaned as best I could, reassembled with new gaskets however as I suspected would happen the leak recurred.

Therefore I think the best course of action is to scrap the condenser and replace it with a new one but from what I can see I think the black condensers are now obsolete.

2 questions; 1) does the silver bodied rectangular BRC condenser that I can see for sale on
Ebay and elsewhere flow enough gas and 2) does anyone have a recommendation for a repair specialist in Leicestershire who would do the job of replacing it and adjusting the settings to suit?

Cheers
Andy

To close this off, had an lpg company in Leicester fit a magic 3 condenser. Seems ok at the moment. Just need to run for a while and check how efficiently its running on the new parts.
Cheers
Andy

Hi Andy
I am very new to RR ownership! and in no way prepared to do any work myself and would rather call someone who wants, loves and knows what to do!
I have a 2005 4.4 V8 LPG on 78k, the Prinns LPG was fitted at 50k, but wondered if you got an answer on the service of the LPG system? I am in Nottingham.

All the best
Mike

I used a company called LPG Conversions, LPGIT in leicester. They fitted the new condenser and set everything up. It took them a couple of hours all in. I went for an amble about while I waited.
I thought it reasonably priced and the chap who runs it was very chatty and very much a petrol head (or LPG head if you like!)

Thanks a million, will look them up.

If you speak to them might be an idea to let them know that Malwarebytes advises not to continue to their website & throws up a 'Website blocked due to phishing' message.
MWB gives the option to ignore the warning & proceed anyway but I didn't go any further.
