2002 Td5 Defender won't start

Hi All

Got a 2002 Defender TD5 that won't start, when the ignition is switched on, a yellow relay under the drivers seat buzzes and the temp gauge was fluctuating. Anyone know what's wrong/seen this before and what fixes it?

Try cleaning earth first

Try changing the relay annorl.

The resistance between the battery neg terminal and the chassis is high, I will look tomorrow for the other end of the earth cable when it stops snowing.
