Have you checked the brake pedal switch is set correctly as per Rave it can throw a fault up if not right.
It does. That's why I did the checks crawling round.
Could it be a abs sensor cable being pulled or mover ,on turning the steering,or even a break in a connector plug pin,,,Is it after rain or any time...abs and tc lamps only on slow manouvres. e.g. Parking/reversing/back-forth.
Funny logic thinking it was the switch on the pump, no pump and you have virtually no brakes never mind TC/ABS lights. In the first instance no external factors made difference. The lamps popped up under no specific condition, save, slow manoeuvring. And even then the only time, the first time, was pulling out of Asda car park in poole. Travelled Cherbourg to South of Spain with no reappearance. And then only after some weeks of arrival. Again, pulling in or out of carparks. It's only over recent weeks I've had them on permanently with the flashing up of "abs fault". I suspected some cheapo sensors on the tears from you know where despite reading ok so I replaced them with two from island. Logic told me it could only be the switch on the abs pump. Changed that no joy. Someone must've had a dose of this somewhere, sometime. Thanks. P.
That's good enough for me. Thanks for that encouraging post . As luck would have it, having been high and dry in the past I've brought all manner of spares with me. I've got an abs ECU. Guess where it is. Not here and no-one can find it in my heap. So I've had to order another, which I did last Thursday. Once you're out of the UK no matter what anyone says, with a p38- you're on your own. It's raining for the first time in anger since arriving in November. Happy days.
