2001 2.5 DHSE AUTO. Y Reg 148,500 Miles
I bought this car as a renovation project and have spent 6K bringing it up to spec.
The engine has been changed by the previous owner and it was poorly executed but all the necessary work has now been done, ancillaries, Starter, alternator oil cooler as well as new front hub and main seal, timing chain tensioners and gaskets, pulls well and seems strong, oil and filter has been changed regularly, starts on the button cold or hot.
Cooling system has been overhauled including a new radiator pump stat and VC. The blend motors have also all been renewed.
The suspension system has all been sorted, including new airbags and shock absorbers, the EAS system has always worked well so all I’ve ever done is replace the dryer and filter. The front main hub ball joints have been replaced both top and bottom along with new drag link and track rod and a 4x4 alignment carried out. All the power steering lines have also been renewed along with the radius arm bushes and a Bilstein steering damper.
All the transmission fluids have been replaced and the auto box filter, also a replacement transfer box was also recently fitted.
The BECM has been checked over and synced with two master keys by Richard at Call Rova
The brake calipers front and rear and the front Discs and pads have all been renewed.
Tyres (Kumhos rear, Pirelli Fronts) and road wheels (18” Hurricanes) are all in good condition and the Pirelli spare in the boot has about 2000 miles.
Electrically the car works well and I can find no faults.
The interior is really great and very very comfortable
I have receipts and bills for all the above work.
I have not got round to sorting the paint / body work and there are holes where the light guards have been removed The aircon also needs repairing and the condenser is currently out of the car.
This car has been my cruiser from London to Cornwall and I have had many thousands of trouble free comfortable miles and I will be sorry to see it go, the money’s been spent so hopefully you won’t have to, if you’re in the market for a Diesel P38, I’m pretty sure this is a good one needing a little TLC.
