Hi all ,
My first serious post and I know this topic's been covered a bloomin lot but here goes.
2001 V6 Freelander Auto. Had bad vibration around 70 km/hr.
I have replaced the rear centre diff mount.
Relaced front section of tail shaft with new , and rear section had U/joints replaced , all balanced $1600, still vibration .
Replaced engine mounts myself and made up hydramount tool for $14 , engine mounts cost $360 with Britcar's help as they would cost $900 in Tasmania .
Helped but still vibration around 55 km/hr.
There's no vibration with the tailshaft off but the car is so much more stable with it on with our windy roads in Tassie.
I am thinking of replacing the other two rear LH and RH diff mounts to see if that helps but by now I am getting a little ****ed off.
Mind you I am pretty quick at getting the tailshaft off now though LOL.
Anyone with divine insight ?
Mal
