200 tdi full recondition

Has anybody seen the ad on fleabay offering a full engine recon for £1300? Has anybody used them?

It's out of my price range but it does seem like good value. They collect you car and bring it back with a shiney new engine. Or is it a case of they pick it up and you never see it again?

Forget it right now.
A quick search on here will give the answer, can’t remeber the thread but am sure somebody will be along to post it.

Yup, someone gave up the keys to their LR4 I think for an engine change, and never saw it again.
My advise, rebuild your own engine, or pay someone you know to do it if you can't

Yeah, I thought it looked a bit too good to be true. If I ever needed to do it I would do it myself, I couldn't afford that luxury.

Well Ebay are bloody useless, I tried to report his 2 ads for reason "stolen property" and it only allows stolen property reports from law enforcement

I've not checked that the link is the same people but NEVER hand your vehicle over to anyone you don't fully trust after some serious digging into their background.

So far as I can gather because people hand their vehicle over its not a police matter but a trading standards one.

It takes TS forever to build a case while they merrily carry on trading and ripping people off

It is the same guy, I checked. I never hand over my keys to anyone, not even my missus....especially not my missus.

I had to do it once when I bought it and had to get it collected but I was sitting wringing my hands for the entire time
