Discs all day long, pretty much zero maintenance, Iirc last of the 200 defender were rear disc anyway?
Think ive got one but have taken bits off over the years.
Whats wrong with yours ? I will see what this one is like, I know the Diff and shafts are still in it and are Good.
Will take a good lok at it tomorrow Mate and get some pics. That would be very helpful. As long as the diff is good the rest doesn't matter
Nope. Disco or 90 axle not load rated for a 110.Just to hijack this thread a minute. Would disco rear axle be suitable for 110 Defender or just a 90? My 200 tdi 110 Salisbury axle getting a bit worn and a disc brake upgrade would be Ideal

not how your insurance company would see itAppreciated. Not surprised at 90 but am surprised at Disco which I’d have thought has a similar weight pulling / load capacity
This one is from an F Reg 200 Tdi 90. Couple of bits missing but just about all there . I know the Diff is OK, which is why I kept it,
Been moved about in and out doors for last couple of years now,Hi mate, thanks for that. Looks like the case is in alright condition. Could you send me some close up photos of the mounting? Has it lived out doors for long?

you can fit the wheel stations or parts from the later salisbury to yoursJames- what’s the difference between the disco rear axle and that on the 110? If I wanted to upgrade my rear axle to discs I assume I’d need one off a newer defender (mines 1992 with original Salisbury axle)
