200 3 door body onto 300tdi 5 door chassis

Been offered a 5 door 300tdi disco,I'm looking for a alternative engine to the v8, the bidy to the 300 is battered and all kinds of rough welds and a bad camel cut, so would it be possible to drop the 200 v8 3 door body onto the 300 chassis and running gear I understand ill prob have to swap the 300 dash into the 200 as it has aircom etc

the inner bodies are the same so yes it is entirely possible

Easy job. Unbolt the body mounts, steering column, fuel tank filler, seatbelt mounts and wiring. Lift off old body and put on new one.

Cool thanks guys, also the 300 iv got only drives in first not "d" (its an auto) would it be possible to throw the manual lt77 box onto the 300 engine iv heard of the r380 box being fitted to the 200tdi engine so is it just a case of sourcing a r380 Bell.housing?
