Congratulations to my Landy for reaching 200,000 miles of trouble-free driving. May the next 200,000 be the same.
I lied about the trouble-free bit.

P.s The 70,90&110 numbers on the speedo are free to anyone who wants them, they’ve never been used and are just taking up room on the dial!

Well done!

My 90 is due to tip 200,000 in about 400 miles I think, at this rate that may take nearly 6 months but I'll resurrect your post and post my picture when it does!

It is almost worth going for a drive just to get it there!

Congratulations! Mine is sitting at just over 235,000, although like most old Land Rovers it's a total Triggers Broom with a replacement chassis, engine and all the small bits that have worn out or dropped off during the last 34 years. The bodywork is all original and almost dent free, which seems remarkable given it's early life as a working vehicle. What age is yours?

‘87. Cheating a bit with a Disco 200 lump, unsure of the mileage of that, but credit to the rest of it for not falling apart. 235,000 is no mean feat, well done!

Not bad for a 19j, that was the original engine in mine. They have their admirers, but they weren’t the best of Landy engines.
I actually really liked it as a normal road runner, but the fuel consumption and slowness on hills and m/ways was difficult to live with.

Good stuff, I was about to accuse you of lying until i read you last statement where you admitted it :p

I am now on 307k but is a bit like @zeaphod 's with new chassis, 200tdi engine (although the mileage on that matches the mileage on the vehicle) and I have just fitted its 4th gearbox (original and three recons). If you continue to look after and service regularly I see no reason why you next 200k wont be "trouble-free driving" as well.

307k is quite an achievement, well done. We all need awards for putting up with them for that long!

My 12j did 197,000 before i swapped it for a 200tdi, though there was nothing wrong with it.
The 110 has now done around 230,000, but with a galvanised chassis doors and bulkhead. Stainless exhaust. Disco transfer box, and an LSD in the back axle.

360k on mine, original engine but it’s had a new gearbox and transfer box, and replacement rear axle. And last year the chassis gave out so I swapped it. But other than that it’s as new :D

That's great on an original engine. :)
My gearbox, trans box, and diffs are original as far as I know. I've had it from 76K, so I should think so. I've never changed the props or UJ's either. Just about everything else has been changed

224,000 on my 200tdi. Original engine, gearbox, transferbox & axles but most of metal body bits replaced over the years
