Mmmmmmm.........
Really torn.... Whilst the chassis is stripped down. Should I get it galvanized?...
Yes but then etch prime it and paint it
Done the same on mine, galvanised chassis change thread, mine is a brand new chassis then galvanised, obviously all the metal was fresh and clean inside and out, not really sure if the galvanising will work inside an old chassis as there will be rust/rot on the inside
No no no! never!
If you galv dip a chassis that is not clean then your just locking the rot inside and thats not a good move.
Ive spoken to a couple of people/companies now and there advise is to just get a new one.
Also if you don't get the galv inside the chassis spread evenly and it pools you will be charged a fortune. Most places charge by weight so if its all in the corners and not evenly spread then it isn't being effective and its costing you a lot of money to be in effective.
just my 2 pence worth.
Coil springs after oxide and first coat of paint
bloody hell... stop being cheap and order a new set, they hardly cost the earth
More pics please !!!!! Im addicting to checking this thread for updates lol
