Hi Guys,

The headlining in my 2002 P38 4.0 is knackered. I am about to pull it out and recover and I am pretty sure it is one piece. I have seen this used 2 piece one advertised on eBay at island4x4 ....

It looks in decent condition and at £130 feels like a good price given the cost of materials and the amount of work to recover the current one.

I know very little about headliners tbh and wondered if there was any reason it being a two 2 piece makes much difference?

Cheers

We used the stuff from Martrim. £67 for the material & 3 cans of adhesive, plus £18 shipping. They supply enough for the A/B/C pillars as well, but didn't bother as the plastic matched the new cloth. https://www.martrim.co.uk/car-trimming-supplies/range-rover-headlining-kits.php

Took about 30-60mins to remove the headlining. Couple of hours cleaning the backing board (this is the worst part) & couple of hours to glue & trim the new cloth. Then about 2 hours to carefully refit in the car.

Definitely easier with extra pair of hands though.

Depending on were you are in the UK there are a couple of people that you drive to and they remove your headlining and fit one all ready recovered while you wait reports on there work have been good.
the two piece ones are easier to post

Didn’t @DanClarke have a dirty weekend away and get his done at the same time.

I would image regret going for the 2 piece everytime I got in the car and looked at it. It may be tempting and easier to fit but I don’t think it would be right.

Yes I did and it was well worth it.
Look for Blackbrook auto trim online.
Super service, a really lovely chap and well worth the petrol and naughty-night away with the Mrs. ;)

It isn't like the single piece one isn't easy to fit. It just slides straight in and out the boot.
