and i also used plus 4" brake hoses too, about 30 quid from paddocks


when i got mine the bolts looked to flimbsey so i used m10 stainless steel bolts all round (which i had anyway) an used new spring seats too, cost me 180 quid for a full 2" lift and well pleased with the result, i'm sure you can get better but it will cost ya a fortune.b

I wanted to fit these at the back and also 2" dropped front top mounts on my disco for better articulation but thought you needed cones too?

also do you have to bleed the brakes to fit longer hoses?! ive got a 2" lift fitted but wanted to upgrade a bit more now i wanna try harder more technical off road routes

Not necessarily. 2" lost on the shocks, 2" gained on the spring, so although the axle will move 2" further, the spring is already 2" longer to make the difference up. It is a good idea to fit them thobut. Unless, of course all you do is use the droppers and front lowered shock turrets with standard shocks, then you need cones front and rear.

Personally I'd get 4 or 5" longer rather than 2" ... not too much extra cost and means you don't have to buy them in future when you want an even bigger lift, or even more articulation.

yea they seem to fill the articulation atm, but i will upgrade them, how would i purge the air out of the system though?!! i hate brakes only bit of mechanics i dont like doing

IMHO when +2" springs are fitted it's worth fitting cones anyway, even with standard shocks, as the springs have a tendency to bend a little and can pop out much easier than shorter length springs.

I too am considering a 2" lift on my 110, but i also require it to keep the extra heavy duty springs.

So im opting for the spacers, as the 2"+ springs are too soft for some of the loads i carry.
