im interested in a 67 s2, needs work and alot of it pics when and if i get it, havnt seen it yet, but i was thinking of a TD i drove one other day a 90 and pulled like a train, but will it mate to a series box if not what do i change? i know they have there problems but is a good TD worth the conversion?

also the lt77 box do the mounts have to change? i ask this as im toying of fitting the one that comes with TD but would rather stay series box, any help would be great. thanks S3S16:confused:

TD engine will require an engine mount cutting off and moving on the chassis to get it to fit as the injector pump fouls the original

Series gearbox will mate up to it nice and easy

LT77 can be fitted but you may have to move the engine (and mounts) then you may need to move the gearbox crossmember and make your own gearbox mounts, propshafts will need altering if retaining the LT230

To be exact anyone know the measurements to what engine mount needs moved also am I ok with original clutch, I didn't get the 67 but as can be seen on newer posts a 69 Maltese.also anyone need parts in exchange for welding work on mine? Bulkhead to be exact, pillars are almost non existant.

Thanks

What my granddad did was chop the mount off the chassis, bolt the mount to the endine, lift the engine into place and then weld the mount in situ
