2.5 radiator

The rad for the manual has a cooler in the bottom and can be fitted to an auto it works fine , but you can not fit an auto one to a manual
So they make one rad does both.

so it should be ok getting this part number. looks defo the same as mine. and mine is auto
and if i can manage leaving the vicious fan in and this plastic housing it looks like and 3 days job for me.

If you cannot put a marble in one pipe and see if it rolls along the inside of the rad and comes out of the other,take it to a garage.

thats fine but i dont want to feed the mechanics 10.5 kids for rolling a marple around.
and whats the point in the old rad. is broke. its dead.

if i take it out to play with it i cant remember how to put the new one in if .

The marble test was quoted for testing that a new radiator had a baffle installed See post #2 by @RangeRoller dt .

sorry. lost on that. looking to source a new rad by tomorrow to get it running by wednesday.
if i put a marble in there and it stuck im sure i cant exchange it for another rad.

i am sure if its the same rad and looks the same it should be the same?

i never heard about this marble test before in my whole life.
yes range rover are very strange in build and repairs. and i heard you can fix a radiator in an old lada with bubblegum.= but marble test ?

cant even find anything on you tube abut it.

Check the new rad has a baffle is what we mean.

The marble test is an unorthodox LZ method for ensuring your rad is suitable for LR spec

Some cheap rads miss out that vital feature

When I have the new one I get a picture up and from the old one.
We take it from there.

I'm sure i have no idea bout this test. Lol
So i may ask a.lot stupid questions by taking.pictures step by step.

Well. Cheap is 98 pound and risk. That one is 129 and guarantees the right one.
Ordered from island a couple bits and always been the right ones.

data taught me put a slat of cardboard over the rad when installing or touching viscous fan - so you don’t damage the fins

Alan taught me the marble test - is nice old skool trick

I know the cardboard trick. I used it on the v70.
Saves taking the fan out.

The marble is.complete new to me.

Cardboard is handy for taking viscous off mainly
Very hard to get wrench In there without damage if they are stiff.

Just take your time with the cowl they can be brittle
