PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE can some one help me?!?
I've just helped my future father in law fit a 2.5 n/a diesel engine into his SII, got it through it's mot (It's been off the road for years) and then on arival back home found the injector pump shaft seal has died, resulting in fuel contaminating the timing belt and leaking heavily from the wading plug at the bottom of the timing plates. I know this seal is replacable but I'm strugling to find anyone who understands what I am talking about when speaking to suppliers from whom I want to buy this seal!
Does anyone know of a part number?!?
OR, failing that, where I can get one from urgently as we need to fit this and the new timing belt this week to get it ready for Billing!!!
I have trawled the net and have had no luck, I've spoken to Paddocks, Land Ranger and our local Land Rover dealership and they don't know what I want, they keep refering to the gasket between the pump and the back timing plate! Does no one understand the difference between a seal and a gasket?!? Rant over.
But seriously, can someone please help me?!?!?
Cheers,
Andy.
