And me, but unlike Brian I manned up and did it myself. So's mine and I still remember the horror of the spiral clutch pins failing.

I'm only living in your shadow mate. You is an hero Alan.
I rather like the quote from one of Clint Eastwood's films: "you're a god-damn legend in your own mind's eye".
Bit deep for a Sunday morning Tony. Not from Clint Eastwood. "He who can play the trumpet can safely blow it, those who can't should just listen to the music".

I think your right. I missed that one, I'll have to look it up for future reference
Was a bit misty but the sun has burnt it off. Nice morning and very mild. The Enemy wants the lawns cut so I'm praying for rain.Anyway enough of that. What's it like in sunny Wirral today. Misty here must be some high pressure over us. Not been out yet though.

Not a hope in hell mate, she thinks it's cut by opening the curtains, long grass when they are closed and short when they are opened. It's magicSo you haven't yet managed to convince her that women can cut grass better than men?

Her chain doesn't stretch as far as the garden, cooker, sink, laundry and bed is enough.Ain't it funny how women demand equality in everything, except manual labour?
When mine went I had only had it four weeks end of November wet weather and cold so sod doing that on the driveway with no landrover experience and the box is twice the size of meAnd me, but unlike Brian I manned up and did it myself.
I do hope it's the g/box you will be pulling out. Yes, looking at it for the first time it's a bit daunting but not a bad job at all. My son has just had a clutch put in his Disco by a mate starting up his own garage. Charged him £120 and my son supplied the clutch assembly, I wouldn't bother doing it myself for that sort of money. Pity he's 250 miles away in Ipswich. When mine went I had only had it four weeks end of November wet weather and cold so sod doing that on the driveway with no landrover experience and the box is twice the size of me
I will be pulling it out soon to do clutch and other bits.
