Surprisingly less scared:cool:and slightly wiser:).
I see bearmach have the nanocom for £450 ish, can't remember the exact amount and they may be another 10% off but I ran out of time to investigate that.
Sold my mini digger yesterday which has given me 3.6k, just need to finish my big driveway project, flog the motorhome and some other stuff and I'll have the room to park a 38:).
If I flog my tratter I can keep the motorhome but I don't think I can:(.
It's simple, good to look at and I love her, bit like me Doris;)

2 landrovers, a proper one and a posh one sounds good to me:DView attachment 237664

That's a lot easier and cheaper to maintain. Not as comfortable and tends to rot quite a bit but other than that a winner.

Looks like the bonnet could do with a little downward adjustment, there is an extra wire tied to the air inlet duct? and some of the engine covers are missing the seats are from a newer motor, but quite a tidy car, price wise probably a bit to much.

Things like the radio...I'm assuming the steering wheel controls would still work with the aftermarket job?
Electric seats? Would that year have them, heated and memory? If not, does that mean the memory wouldn't work if he's thrown in later ones or is the loom etc there anyway?
Same question re headlight washers I guess?
The bin price is too high yes. It was listed last week on auction with one bid at £3000 but that seems to have disappeared and the bin replaced it.

Climate control needs resetting?
Wassat mean?
Nanocom necessary for that?
I am going to get a nanocom when I get a P38.
Never used a dealer in my life, I'm poor at electronic stuff though but a nanocom and you guys I'm hoping to keep that record:rolleyes::D

Hard to say about the steering wheel radio controls, with the seats again hard to tell as they need a highline becm later dhse`s had electric memory and all that, but then again my 97 dse has highline and manual leather seats
yes nanocom for hvac.

Yer have bear in mind it's a 20 year old car. The chance of finding one that's in perfect condition and original is unlikely. Yer should expect a few niggling faults and some electrical issues as standard. Big Freelander's have them when new so it's to be expected these features will still be present after 20 years of trying to fix them.

I'll keep looking, the love of my life( next to me tratter of course) is out there somewhere!
Not ready yet really anyway, still got the driveway to finish, big job that, and the campervan to tidy up a bit for sale, then I'll have room to park a P38 off road. But if a real good one turns up meantime I could park it at castlehippo for a couple of months;).:D
