Rechecked heater plugs this morning and I am only getting 11.2 volts at the plug terminal although the battery is at 12.6 . Could anyone point me in the right direction for the high resistance please thanks

Are you taking this reading with glow leads connected to plugs or removed? It is pretty obvious there will be a voltage drop if six glow plugs and lift pump are being powered. Lift pump is pwered whilst glow lamp is lit by a tap from number six glow lead.

Yes all plugs are in ,I put a voltmeter on each plug and had the wife turn ignition on and off. I have also replaced all leak off pipes again with a tighter fit, I felt the other was a poor fit probably 1/8" instead of 3mm. it started perfectly ,but will monitor, and see if there is any improvement. thanks for the help

All spill pipes are 1/8" or 3.2 mm if you use bastardised measurements. If the plugs are being powered obviously there will be a voltage drop. That is why you wait until glow lamp goes out before cranking.

thanks ,all were the same ,so thats encouraging. I would have thought that "German" injectors would use metric tubing ?

They do, 3.2 mm. If you have doubts use my old method of making sure they stay put. Use heat shrink tube shrunk on each end then push them on using a bit of lube. :D:D
