2.5 Defender 90 petrol engine - advice needed

Hi All

Bought my first Defender last week. It has a 2.5 petrol engine (1991) and seems really sluggish - The transmission sounds a little knackered and there is a leak somewhere around the manifold. Can anyone recommend a good Landy specialist in North East Devon (Axminster) to give it a good check over?

The only one I can think of in that neck of the woods is Devon 4x4. Simon is a really nice bloke and the staff are very friendly.

Found a company called JB Landrovers in Honiton Independent landrover specialists for all land rover parts and used vehicles - J B Landrovers who did a good job - new timing chain and adjustment to the throttle - feels much better now.
