2.4 vm diesel

hi folks
i am new to here but i hope some one can help
i have a 2.4 vm diesel engine in my 1990 r/rover and have a head gone down on me
i have been told that a rover 825d is the same head is this true as it has the vm engine in it
please can anyone give me good honest advice about this

Do a search on ebay for 2.4 VM Head Gasket and you will find someone who retails them, i have bought them before, but remember, replace all the head gaskets, there is 4 of them, cos tis easier in the long wrong, what colour is the smoke cos when my old one went it was the piston rings not the head. They are the worlds weakest engines, they are great when they are running but the heads were so very weak.

head gaskets fine no smoke
blew the rocker stud out of the head took out all of the threads

Put a thread insert into the rocker pillar stud then carefully drive it to the scrappy !

Then take the number plates off,grind off the Vin and put a TDI badge on the lower tailgate - bound to work.

LOL also it should be 2.5vm as the 2.4 ended in 1989 lol
