i know where itll be ( sat on top of the oil pump drive shaft under the skew gear bush bearing )
its where the shattered bits of my cam followers ended up

It was sat in the follower where the end of the push rod sits usually!

Got half the head rebuilt now, will finish it in the morning and clean up the block and then refit head

Head is back in place, just need torquing down then all the injectors etc etc fitted and the onto setting the timing and tappets!

The engine works to come degree, it still smokes too much though.
In the end i sorn'd it. A defender came up at a price i just could not refuse.
The series will be rebuild over the next year and hopefully be back on the road this time next year.
