1st time owner - a couple of questions

Hi All,

I have a 2000 freelander 1.8i Softback.

First question - at night the freelander controls appear to be rather badly illuminated. My trip meter/odometer is not back lit, should it be? Also the heater controls are not back lit should they be?!

i fear the lack of display lights will be the least of yer worries.. but as its xmas i hope that the biggest problem yer gonna have with yer 1.8 grenade

Yes when headlights/sidelights on

They are dim though and controls being dark on mine make them difficult to see in daylight

Sounds like you gotta bulb gone mate..might have to do a bit of stripping..

The heater control bulbs are easy to get at. From memory the knobs just pull off and expose the bulbs?

Pull the knobs and the panel has two screws, IIRC. The bulbs are £3 from a dealer.
