1999 P38 Front Window Wipers Not Working

Hi, I have a 2.5DT 1999 P38 and since I got it the front wipers have never worked on the fastest setting but has been fine on the rest. Yesterday they stopped working all together, I have looked at the fuses and they look ok. I was wondering if anyone had experienced this? Also the headlights wipers have never worked either.

Have you got a dodgy stalk switch? Headlight wipers on mine only work when headlights and front wipers are on and only about every 3 wipes of the windscreen ones.

It’s the windscreen wipers that have stopped. The headlight wipers have never worked

Isn't that controlled by one of the green relays? Might be the to left one.
Headlight washers activate every other press of the washer button unless you're low on fluid

Yes but took it to a garage and they said I need an auto elec

Where abouts roughly are you in the n/west, there may be someone near to you that can help?
I would consider investing a nanocom or similar diagnostic suite if your going to keep Yeh bus

Change the fuse anyway (10p) if you think its the stalk, they are £10 off the bay, its worth just trying a different one, and easy job to change, if its not that you can always sell it again and lose nothing

They won't work if main wipers don't work, they rely on them to power up.. Like has been said check your stalk , fuses or relays first
