1999 Freelander xdi, drivers side glovebox removal.

Hi, I am trying to find a way to install a new brake pedal light switch and having great difficulty doing so. I cannot get sufficient grip on the switch to successfully turn it home and thought about removing the drivers side glovebox.but would like to know the best way to do this.There are some obvious screws and bolts at the bottom of the glovebox but I wonder if it is necessary to remove the whole upper facia to remove the box My Haynes Manual seems to omit this procedure.Any help would be much appreciated. .

Yes, matter resolved. No real interest shown but managed to replace the switch with some difficulty. This did not resolve my problem and I have moved on. Cheers.
