Hello all. Just took my recently my bought donor car along for an mot - just to see if I could use it for the summer, before putting the interior in my 96 4.0L . Only thing it failed on was emissions, high hc's and co. Today I changed the spark plugs, ( all the old ones looked ok),changed the air filter, looked at the oxygen sensors before the cat, and had a look at the maf sensor ( have some cleaner arriving tomorrow). I have recently bought a nanocom and evolution and am just getting used to it. I was thinking of swapping the maf sensor and oxygen sensors from my 4.0L and seeing If there are any differences in the fuel air readings on the nanocom. Does that seem like a logical thing to do? Are high hc's and co a sight of engine wear ? The engine was a re-conditioned turner unit put in 60,000 miles ago. Full tank of fuel has been in there for the past 9 months ( previous owner didn't use it due to illness ) before then it was only used for short local journeys with no long runs. Any ideas on how to progress much appreciated! Sorry if the post was a bit long winded but I thought more information is always better!
