I screwed up, I meant to say, you can put a cap full in your tank, it will grab onto water and burn it off, good for cleaning your brakes, and washer wiper fluid just a cap full though
So that I'm clear, you're saying add a capful of isopropyl alcohol to my EMPTY master brake reservoir, shake it around, pour it out, let it dry, then fill with DOT 4?

I have never used Simple Green (is that an american product? dont know what residues it leaves behind

I when I purchased the used unit I googled how to clean and found a UK owner that said to soak with "Clean Green." Couldn't find that in the U S. Simple Green is an environmentally-green biodegradable all purpose cleaner/degreaser that doesn't suppose to leave a residue

Well it did leave a light residue on the wall of the main chamber but I got it off. However, the smaller separate chamber that you can't access still has a light stain towards the top right-side but I thinks that the old fluid. I just didn't know whether rinse again or leave it alone. Isopropyl alcohol dries fast so that may be worth a try.

The thing is plastic will yellow, the only way I know of to get it white again is to leave it in the sun and it whitens up again (but I dont know why that works but it will)

All I need is a capful? Remember the tank is empty. Since the reservoir is divided into 2 or 3 separate chambers, not sure if I can get a capful on the other side of the reservoir. Can I pour maybe 1/2 a cup?
