1996 p38 4.6

Can someone please help me out I've been watching videos, forums and I'm stuck...just got my p38 its been parked up over a year so i installed new battery...fobs battery as well then I noticed after install the battery in the vehicle only the hazard lights blinked and front door locked no alarm sound I tried to start and message appeared "engine disable" with other messages...I've tried everything the emergency code in the door nothing seems to work the light flashed when I press the fob lock and unlock but nothing happens...I've gone tru a lot of forums is there something I'm doing wrong

If you've got engine disabled on the dash assuming the EKA code is correct it should work. Is the headlight tell tale on the dash flashing with each turn of the key to enter the digits when you're trying to put the EKA code in as could be micro switches in door lock gone.
