Well, After suffering the money pit Discovery 2 for too long now. I have crossed to the dark side.
I found a re-chassid 1993 90 200Tdi. Rebuilt engine, New turbo, Recon axels, New shocks and springs, All poly bushed, Re built Bulkhead, Galvenised chassis. And a decent price. Couldn't pass it up really.
I want to make a few minor upgrades, to make it a little more comfortble and to suppress some of the noise. I know these are basic utility vehicles, but a few creature comforts wouldn't go amiss.
I'm looking for a resonably priced leather steering wheel and was wondering if the discovery one steering wheel will fit?
The seats are still original and need replacing or recovering with new swabs etc. Get rid of the PVC.
There's no roof lining. I guess it was dumped when stripped for the rechassis as the inside of the roof is too clean not to have had one. Can you get linings for the rear that don't have the roof lights?
Carpets to smarten it up and quieten things down a bit.
I don't want to spend stupid money KISS springs to mind. Buying a carpet kit for the rear at £150odd doesn't make sence when it just needs some carpet cut and glued in place. Obviously the front ain't that simple. But you'll get my drift.
I've looked around and realised there are more LD accesories sellers than you can shake a stick at. Who are the better ones?
Suggestions, advice appriciated.
