1991 Defender 110

I wonder if anyone out there can help me.

My defender 110 is 25 years old this July and has unfortunately cost me quite a bit at the last two MOT s

I have had it 19 years and love it dearly but I am not a Landrover expert and I think it need a new home where its owner is able to do work that I am not up to.

For its first nine years it was the family car, then when I had a career change ten years ago I took out the rear seats and benches and it is now a gardener’s van.

Everyone tells me that it is worth loads but they do not really know.

The base of the doors has some rust and the fabric at the front seat suffered a hedge trimmer attack. The front passenger door is a bit wonky and the radio doesn’t work .

There is also a problem with the milometer which stopped about three years ago.

Mechanically it is sound but as you can see it bares the scares of an active life and has no rear seats. It has an MOT up to end August.

Has anyone any idea what it may be worth.

Find similar on ebay and watch them - the faults you describe are mostly cosmetic and wont really effect the value - sound chassis and bulkhead are THE number one issues. Main advice however is DON'T sell it - they are going up in value all the time - it's way better than money in the bank. Do you need the money? Have you got dry storage? If no and yes to those questions.................... Keep it!
