1990bronco fuel problems

my trucks fuel pump will not cut off when I turn the key and it will crank
but will not start. sometimes will messing around with it even with the
key off the pump will still run. any help would be appriciated. thanks

your problem is the ignition switch not the key the switch sits on top of
the steering column under the dash how it works is when you turn the key
theres a metal rod that goes down the steering column and turns on the
switch when the switch gets bad this happens and sometimes the car wont
turn off replace them all the time
