Hi
I am looking to rear flaps and would like the original Land Rover ones as here https://www.lrparts.net/lrc1375rear...ear-mudflap-set-set-of-two-rear-mudflaps.html
I believe they attach to the underside of the slanting part of the rear cross member but I have looked at mine and I can’t see how I would get to the back of the holes to attach a nut on any fixing bolt.
LR parts say to use this kit to fix them but it seems to add more complication as it isn’t clear how it goes together with the flap or cross member. https://www.lrparts.net/lrc2404-rear-mudflap-fitting-bracket-and-fittings-for-land-rover-defender-90-fits-either-side-with-nuts-bolts-and-washers.html
I have searched the web and also YouTube but found nothing to help. Surely it isn’t that complicated as most people have mud flaps? Or am I missing something really simple? I wondered whether a riv nut in the hole would work best and mean I didn’t need the special kit?
thanks in advance!
