I own a 1987 Landrover 90 which has previously been converted to a 200TDI.

When i bought it all the headlights etc worked. I converted the side lights and indicators to WIPAC LEDs and the Headlights to Trucklite LEDs. All worked fine for months so my problem isn't in the switching of the light types etc.

Now i have an issue.
The headlights normally work so that dipped beam works with one bulb on and high beam works with an extra bulb on (dipped and main on together)

I have now lost the dipped beam on the driver side. (dipped bulb still comes on with stalk selected to main beam so its not the headlight unit or bulb.
Passenger side works fine.
I also have no flash function on either side and the horn also doesn't work. (Hazards do work though, same fuse i believe)

I've checked all fuses themselves (not the wires at the back) and looked for a Pink Relay in the binnacle to no avail.
I have found a metal cased relay hanging down inside the dash as far down and to the right that the dash goes. This relay clicks when selecting the dip/main switch so I'm guessing this is the lighting relay???

does anyone have any idea of what the issue might be and how and where to start looking?

Many thanks

ANY PICT'S OF RELAY ,HAVE YOU CHECKED THE FUSE HOLDER FOR CORROSION USUAL DULL OXIDE LAYER FORMS OF AGE AFFECTING CONTACT ON FUSES.I ASSUME THE TRUCKLITE HEAD LIGHT UNIT HAVE THE IGNITION FEED TO THEM

Well I decided to look further into it today. this morning the Horn, Flash and High Beam worked fine. The only issue was the driver side dipped beam.
I had a good hunt around and changed the main headlight switch with a new one I had.
No change to the fault. I decided to take apart the fuse panel and had a rummage about and hey presto! The driver side dipped beam started working!!
I believe that it’s the fuse holder crimp to wire connection that’s bad. When you wiggle it a little the light goes on and off.
Time to covert to a blade fuse holder I reckon.
I have included some pics.
The metal relay hanging down is my main light relay. Then I have a yellow relay and metal one behind the dash. Any ideas what these are??
And then I have 3 relays behind the fuse panel. One is the flasher relay but not sure what the others are. Any ideas?
Also does anyone know what the two extra fuses mounted to the front of the panel are?

many thanks!
