Series 3 1983 109 front brake pipe parts

Hi everyone,

I am currently in the process of fixing the brakes on the series :/
I need two new brake pipes. I need the pipe that goes from the flexi to the top wheel cylinder and the pipe that goes from the top cylinder to the bottom cylinder. It is for the drivers side (RHD). The book says part number NRC4256 but when I ordered one of those it is straight which the required pipe is not... In the book I cannot find the 2 wheel cylinder diagram so I cannot find the part I need for the other pipe. Has anyone had this issue before? Help please. The standard parts come straight and you've to bend to fit. A proper pain in the àrse. Especially in steel.

I have seen these come pre folded. Try Paddocks.

I make my own these days, from cupronickel, and I route from the jump hose to the bottom wheel cylinder, then back to the top. It puts the bleed nipple at the top, where it should be.

I also undo the wheel cylinder retaining nuts to allow it to move slightly. This allows me to get the tight bend to get the pipe into the wheel cylinder.
 
Agree buy a roll of 3/16 cupronickel various fittings and a brake flare tool then you’re self sufficient

If you don’t fancy that a local motor factors might make them up for you cheaply
I am pretty clueless as to the name of the fittings. (I know what they look like) but I have no idea what are they called. Can you help?
 

There’s a good description in front of the series 3 workshop manual of the fittings and pipe ends

Brake pipe nuts male or female ( male screws into a female ) female nuts go onto the flexi pipes

You will have like mine two different threads on the brake pipe fittings the wheel cylinders will be 10mm x1 and the rest 3/8 UNF don’t mix the two !

^^ A second on this one, then in the future when you split one removing brake parts you don't have to wait for a new one to arrive, you just rummage around in the shed and 10min later you are good to go again with a ne wone made up.
