1980 RR 2dr gearbox issue

I have a 1980 2dr Range Rover (4 speed) and for various reasons want to change the clutch and gearbox. A mate has an LT77 Discovery gearbox (5 speed) and transfer box. Is it a direct/easy swap?

ill have your old 4 speed if its not fooked

not a problem as long as its the disco v8 lt77 not 200/300tdi..

you will have to mod the trans tunnel,but thats easy..(and handbrake,cos its cable and not linkage as yours is..also easy)
