I get very insulted when people call land rovers cars, but anyway I've had 2 series 3's and both have been great. The parts are cheap and they're a lot of fun. Is it LWB or SWB?

Take all the advice you can get and read everything.
There are a lot of potential pit falls in buying any 30 year old vehicle.
As with all landys check for rot on the chasse and bulkhead etc..
But dont let me put you off they are loads of fun usually cheep
to run (Try and get a tax exempt one if you can) and its simple engineering.
