Hi I recently swapped my 10p car with a 15p engine inc engine and loom, driving around using the 10p ecu until got the 15p ecu coded, got it coded and it didn’t rev. Googled that need the 3 track pedal, fast forwards to today I’ve fitted the pedal and ecu and it still doesn’t rev, confirmed the part numebe is a 3 track pedal, is there something I’m missing?

Hi, i suspect that the problem is with the main body harness which contains the ECU black plug cos there is the TPS circuit and on a factory fitted 10P modell the wire for the 3'rd track might be missing at the pedal or ECU. Check the TPS connector C0787, for 15P it must have a red/green wire in terminal C which goes to ECU black plug C0658 -20 so you'll have to rewire it untill the ECU. For pinouts see the Electrical library - connector views. If the wire is there and has continuity more investigation is needed with nanocom or similar

Brilliant reply, just looked no wire on terminal C at the TPS. none of the threads i found mentioned this, hopefully its just a case of wiring it up and away I go, strange the 3 track throttle works with the 2 track wiring/ecu though

So it’s all working now, par a really strange qwerk.. there is absolutely no power until you hit 2k rpm, after you’ve hit 2k rpm you have power above and below this, it is consistently after a first start. Doesn’t matter if you rev freestanding or drive to 2k rpm, just dead until you hit it

any ideas at all?

Did you wire up the 3'rd track or how is it working? make sure there's no bridge across pins C and F in the pedal plug

You said you replaced the engine loom so did you replace the airbox sensor too with the 4 pin one? You need to plug in a diagnostic tool to see live data when the symptom occurs, if it's just after start up its possible that a sensor is out of range and the ECU needs few seconds to go to default and this happens every time after the ignition was off then on. Check if all the sensors are well connected, especially the FT sensor on the FPR, MAF, AAP(airbox) and MAP

You have the answer then, which was obvious from my previous reply about the sensors too. That symptom is caused by the unplugged MAF cos for the Eu3 ECU the MAF is very important for fuelling calculations and as it gets the open circuit signal it takes few seconds to go to default and calculate based on the MAP sensor like Eu2 does hence the throttle delay after start up. The Eu2 has different management, the MAF is used only for EGR. So if you want a well running 15P engine fit a genuine LR MAF or get it remapped to a no MAF version
