Hi
I'd like to add a 12v power socket in the rear of my FL1 (5 door), does anyone know it there's already a suitable power supply or should I run one from the center console?
I've looked at various LR wiring diagrams but nothing obvious stands out.
Thanks

Hi,

There is an official 12V socket kit that plug on the battery, It comes with the full harness and fitting instructions.

The OE rear socket piggybacks onto the rear power socket in the centre console. If it doesn't ha the rear power socket (it was also an option) the you can simply plug into the connector and extend the wiring to the boot.

Hi, when I did my extra socket in the boot area (fitted in the r/h liner) I wanted it permanently live (not switched live like the one in the cabin) so I used an in line fuse holder & picked up a permanent live in that area to connect it too.

I think I'll end up tapping into the rear passenger power supply (between the front seats) and running that into the rear corner somehow.

That's quite an expensive kit for a fag lighter (accessory socket). You can get the socket that's fitted in the boot area of D2's amongst others for £35.09 p/no YXW100040LNF (see pics) or just go to Halfords & get one for under a tenner, which is what I did.

Good idea, there is one on ebay but not sure about how it fits into the FL as it looks to be held in place by a single screw and I doubt that'll be compat with the FL.
