alright mate

got a 110 roofrack sitting in me garden if you want it. been sitting there for a few months and i got another one so could do with getting rid of it, got the original reciept - john craddock so not a ****ty one either!

oh, and its in bucks, beaconsfield to be precise, so its only about a 40 minute drive from you

make me an offer:D:hijacked:

Bugger! you got in there before me!

I too have a rack sat on me law off me 110 that i'm trying to shift.

like I said 33mpg out of my 110csw 200tdi disco transfer box, 70mph south london to notts :D

like carpy, mine is a brownchurch one as well.

cannot argue with facts :D

Can argue, there's no way that with the rack on you achieve the same mpg. Even if the difference is 1 or 2 mpg. Can't argue with the laws of physics :p

My 110 had a **** off big rack on it when I got it. It also had a sad old 19J engine so off came the rack in a quest to improve things. Result was about 5mpg more and 10mph on the top end speed. Probably wouldn't be as noticeable with a tdi motor but with the poor old td it made a big difference.

roof racks are gonna affect the mpg its a scientific fact :p
That depends on the speed you travel at
Because the land rover is heavy the wind resistance does not affect it as much as say a luton transit.
Rolling resistance plays a bigger part.
Dont know the figures exactly but the wind resistance begins to affect a luton transit above about 25 mph where as a fully loaded artic aint affected until about 50 mph.
you work it out:D

suffice to say that if you are trundling about local then the roofrack will make no difference.

I did a trip to Glasgow with car trailer to pick up a vehicle and bring it back. I removed the roofrack but it made no difference as I travelled between 45 and 55. Still only did 9mpg round trip.

he got a PROPER tight budget though to be fair, so i dont reckon he got enough for yours either unless you are good with a packet of wotsits and a bag of wine gums.

Well, you may as well leave yours on wi that V8!
I reckon the next upgrade on yours should be a nice big satellite dish, or maybe a sail? :D:)

:focus: ... does anyone know of another roof rack that can be adapted to fit a 110??? ive got the money to buy one that fits although on a budget (aren't we all?) but if i can get away with using another and using free metal to make fit at half the cost and stiil keep my "wotsits and wine gums" then i may as well try????
