I know it's been probably covered to death but doing a full rebuild on my 110 due to coming off the road and rolling it due to an oil spill and wondering is there anything that I should do while at it in case I forget about it and be kicking myself afterwards.

What I have in mind so far is galvanize the chassis (or buy one done depending on condition of mine or pros and cons of each option), Galvanize the bulkhead, all the body cappings, fit a set of galvanized doors,
Fully sound deaden the interior, under the bonnet etc.
New brake lines, extended breathers, sort a few wiring issues,
Re-trim the recaros in leather and make up the new center console,
Fit new speakers and maybe an amp or sub
Fit a set of LED headlights
Fit out the lower section of the rear tub with a drawer setup for tools and bits and pieces.
Possibly fit a rear winch although not sure how to go about it yet as don't have much space and not keen on mounting it outside the rear cross-member.

Crickey that's sounds not far off. £6500 worth of parts, I think you have covered most things I guess if your gunna have the engine gearbox and t box out you may as well check that they are all a+ and give them a bit of a refurb if needed a lot easier when it's out of the vehicle

Gearbox only fitted a couple of months ago so that's good. Same goes for the axles as locking diffs only fitted recently with new shafts and CVs etc.
Engine has 189K on it but it's running like clockwork so that's probably fine unless I get a mad notion and build a 2.8 :D

Aside from the cost of that stuff, I pretty much must replace every body panel on the Defender along with the exmoor hood and the roofrack :(

That is a shame. I will be looking forward to reading this thread though. I am doing similar, but on a tighter budget

yep, although not hurt or anything I was pretty depressed Friday evening when it happened but spent the weekend at the Irish drift championship so the carnage from cars getting it wrong and hitting a wall after an 80mph entry speed helped soften the blow abit.

It's being put down as a CAT C write off now so have to negotiate with the insurance. Ironic thing is, I was on the road where I had the off due to a detour from another oil spill where a loader **** all it's hydraulic oil across the road earlier on in the day
