few manufacturing engineers i have spoken to, talk bout scrapping new engines and parts because once its gone down the production line, cost more money to have it taken apart and then rebuilt to a different spec or built again, and is cheaper for them just to start again from scratch as it takes so little time, just what ive heard

well if that one cost you £750, a couple of years ago, by my reckoning, it will have depreciated by about £250,

So, £500 it is then, paypal ok?!?! Pretty please?!
I didn't say it was for sale did I? And if it was I'd want a profit on it. And a nice profit too. That's just the way things work in our capitalist society.

It was a joke!!!!!!!!!!!

Get with it!

It's now a day older than yesterday, so I'll give you £480.

they still have them for sale

Land Rover Defender T5 110 Galvanised Chassis on eBay (end time 03-Jun-10 15:16:38 BST)

If I had the money, I'd buy a couple, shrink wrap em, with a few kg of silica gel, and keep em till my chassis rots in ten years! Anyone think they'll be at a bit of a premu=ium in 5-10 years when the defencder as we know it, becomes a disco3 based behemoth, or will places like richards chassis' just continue to make big money?

I reckon i could sneak a couple into the loft without missus noticing...... just need to cut a chassis shaped whole in the roof of my house.
