I am thinking about installing some sort of unit in the back of my 110 to house a camper stove and hold a few pots, pans and a kettle. I'm no DIY man but would be interested to hear from anyone that has done something like this and possibly see some pics.

Think there are a few examples on here if you search.
Here is what I've been doing to my 110.
Seat / bed on left hand side that's folds up out of the way and shelving on the right.

Have slept in the back of a 110 on make shift beds....

If I was to do it again Id have tilt forward front seats and have the bed on top of the bulkhead right up to the dash, that way it leaves you a 3 ft of space at the rear to stand/sit/undress/etc

That video was what inspired my build. I'm still working on the units and fitting the sliding doors at the minute. If you intend on sleeping in it insulation is a must. I haven't slept in the 110 but apparently condensation can be very bad. Insulating is my next task.

Have a look at expedition portal there is plenty of examples of campers on there not just land rover though.

@CalumM thats the exact stuff I was thinking of using. And maybe some cheap aeroboard too. Then cover with 5mm ply..

I'm going to put the insulation all over roof and sides then put ply over the sides and just some kind of carpet over the roof. Ply on the sides will be useful for hanging stuff, making shelves and resist knocks from when I put bikes in the back. I shouldn't need to hang anything on the roof so the carpet will be fine, will avoid having to bend ply round the corners too.

I want insulation and ply on the roof so might cut the ply into strips to get a bit of a curve. Then any little gaps or holes will be filled with expanding foam. And then paint the lot..

Fair enough. I have never tried bending ply before but if you did it in reasonably narrow sections it might not be too hard.
I'm going to use ply stiffened with battens to fill up the space above the bulkhead behind the seats, like a dog guard. This will mean the rear is sealed off from the windscreen/front doors which will help keep it warmer. Also I will be able to screw shelves or hooks or whatever onto it. AND it might help a bit in a crash, stop all the crap I keep in the back from smashing into me.

I think I'm actually going to go for camping mats instead of the thermawrap stuff. THermawrap is only meant to reflect heat (i.e behind radiators) so needs an air gap. Camping mats are designed to be sandwiched (between person and ground) so might work better. I doubt there's much in it really. As you're using ply you might be alright as that would give an air gap, my carpet won't.

Currently putting some flashband in to dull some of the droning.

On their website it shows it being used in an attic space. I will probably line it with the thermawrap and then have aeroboard sheets in the large panels best of both worlds.
