hiya me again with more questions.
first off,
when i brought my first 110 defender i remember the guy saying after the cash sale,
the axles are heavy duty Salisbury, i think he said snatch.
im not sure how to find out, is there any numbers or slighty diff looking,
will put a pic up later,
also my modulars
they look like split rims but i cant work them out, ive seen loads of other mods ,
but not with the allen key bolts round the wheel,
ive seen some that look like there small bolts, but more of a weld blob to look like there split. look at pics please, are these just standard or a bit more heavy duty, they where on the truck when i got it.
thanks again

Are they actually bolts? The ones with the "weld blob" are just a push fit plastic insert to make it look pretty. I found this out when I used a cub wheel on the angle grinder the clean them up before painting. After that I knocked them all out so now have a line of holes around the outside with nothing in. I would not be surprised if these are the same just with a different decorative cap. What does the inside look like? If the other side is just a peg they will be the cosmetic plastic inserts.

Edit: just looked more closely at your photo and as some already seem to be missing they are almost certainly plastic

As it is a 110 the rear axle will be a Salisbury as standard. The easy way to tell is to look at the diff shape. On a rover axle the diff look s like round circle in the middle of the axle. On a Salisbury it is much bigger and an odd shape not a circle. You can also get Salisbury front axles but these are rare and very expensive. if you put up a photo of each axle they should be fairly easy to identify.

Unless it is a very specific usually military variant or has had one retro fitted I would expect the front axle to be a standard rover item. The diff shape should be the key see below photos from google:

These photos are the rears axle but I believe the Salisbury front has a similar shaped diff to the rear and not the rounded rover item..
