110 200tdi wont cut out

My 200tdi 110 wont cut out when I turn the key off. Starts no problem. However at one point last week it wouldnt start when turning the key (relay clicked but no starter motor at all) we fixed this by cleaning some of the wiring. Now I am thinking that it may be this again but the opposite way round due to the cleaning?
As you can probably tell my mechanical knowledge is in its infancy, but any pointers on how to fix would be much appreciated.

possibly a faulty ignition switch try pulling the solenoid wire off the injection pump whilst engines running

A faulty solenoid on the pump will stop it turning off, the dirty wiring could be a separate problem.

Try what James says, if it keeps running something is jamming or blocking the solenoid.
The FIP can start wearing inside causing bits of fine swarf to give your problem. If it is this, it will get worse and the pump will need a recon.

If its a whitr j plate csw it might be my old one but its deffo a solenoid issue and it might be a new injector pump as some of it is breaking up and jamming the solenoid.
I ignored it and just kept stalling it to stop. Neew clutch followed shortly after.
