109 2.6 - Leak between Manifold and Exhaust

Hi guys, finally got my 109, more on this later, just running up a list of urgent spares to buy.

I have a slight leak between the manifold and the exhaust pipe, there seems to be a rubber gasket/washer between the two. From what I can gather from the workshop manual and parts catalogue there shouldn't be actually anything in there, am I right? I can't trace any spare parts on any sites (so far), advices welcome and needed,

Ok I'm a numpty, it's the end piece of the exhaust pipe isn't it, guess it just needs tightening, waiting for the wd40 to do it's stuff.

There is a gasket between the two manifolds too its part number 247824...get a decent one and give it a good clean up.

If you need to replace the bolts on the exhaust studs make sure you get some decent brass ones not the ****ty steel replacement ones which will rot onto your studs!

The file you've attached is for the 2.25 4 cylinder engine, the OP has a 2.6L straight 6.

marcus - there are gaskets between the maifold and the block if that's what you're referring to, no gaskets between the different sections of the exhaust itself though.

Check out the pdf in the following link, pages 13 for the exhause pipe, and the end of page 15 and page 16 for the manifold of the straight 6 engine.

Thanks for the reply guys, the leak is between the front exhaust and the exhaust manifold, there is a gap al the way round with, what I assume is the, rubber end of the exhaust pipe visible. At one point the gap between the exhaust manifold plate and the exhaust plate is about 1cm, is that normal. As an aside I think I'm missing the heat shield.
